An updated apk is now on the Android Market (october 23rd) uninstall marvin and install it again from the market. it include a few fixes, a detection of available updates, a better description of what marvin is in the EULA 
and an access to the minimal online documentation from the main menu.

I just checked, there are 300 350 400 600 2.5K+ unique registered users right now on Marvin.
On October 20th there was 15 users…

What is Marvin
Marvin on Google Android, out of the box, provides free access to a collection of location based services in one client such as Buddy and Family Finder(MyLocation), Job search(MyJob), Real Estate locator(MyHouse), Cars locator (MyCar), Geo Blogging(MyLog) and Friends seeker(MyHeart).
Marvin is a 100% mobile application platform to publish and browse user generated content by location, type, services and keyword or all combined. Audience in Marvin is the world, your connected peer group or a subset of them. Message life cycle and global visibility is managed by user ratings.
Published messages in Marvin can be static or dynamic, following their authors.
Marvin federate multiple location based services in one client enabling common features to be shared across services and information from different services to be found because they share the same author or location area.
Marvin is for people willing to share publicly or to a restricted audience, pictures taken with their device on vacation, the car they are selling, the mood of the day, a review of a restaurant, their desire to meet new friends in a new city or the description and picture of houses they just discovered because they are real estate agents on the field.
The full cycle of taking pictures, editing the message, publishing on a specific location and browsing is now available as a highly integrated client on the Android platform.
Marvin is also for people interested in finding all of the above in a serendipity way based on where they are physically or anywhere on the world map.
Since Marvin offer to publish messages to the desire audience in a User/Group/World fashion, induced Social Networking features exist in Marvin. Once a public message is published readers can follow up conversations with the author in private to agree on a transaction and connect if they wish to share each other publication feeds or other private messages.
